Karl Iagnemma, CEO and Co-Founder Among 100 Most Intriguing Entrepreneurs at 2017 Builders + Innovators Summit
BOSTON, Massachusetts — October 19, 2017 — nuTonomy, the leading developer of state-of-the-art software for self-driving cars, today announced that CEO and co-founder, Karl Iagnemma, has been named one of the 100 Most Intriguing Entrepreneurs of 2017 by Goldman Sachs (NYSE:GS).
Goldman Sachs selected Iagnemma as one of 100 individuals from multiple industries to be honored at its sixth annual Builders + Innovators Summit taking place this week in Santa Barbara, California. An authority on robotics and autonomous vehicles, Iagnemma’s opinion and commentary has been published and broadcast worldwide. As former director of the Robotic Mobility Group at MIT, his technical research resulted in more than 150 technical papers, 20 issued or filed patents, and numerous edited volumes, including books on the DARPA Grand Challenge and Urban Challenge autonomous vehicle competitions. His work has found application in passenger vehicle safety systems, robotic surgery, and Mars surface exploration, among other domains. He co-founded nuTonomy in 2013 with fellow MIT researcher and renowned robotics expert, Emilio Frazzoli.
